Selling & Buying

My house is on the market, should I take it off?

Our advice is that you do not take your property off the market at the moment as interest continues to come in via our website and Rightmove. In our conversations with vendors, the consensus is that they are taking the view of putting things on hold, rather than removing the property altogether. We are continuing to obtain peoples details in readiness for arranging viewings when we have the all-clear to do so.

Are you still listing new properties?

This is probably our most frequently asked questions. We continue to communicate with vendors directly discussing our marketing strategies, however, instructions will be arranged fully when the ban on non-essential contact has been lifted.

How can I apply for a mortgage holiday?

We have recently produced a news article on mortgage holidays, you can click here to read it.

Is my house purchase still going through?

This simple answer to this question is yes. House purchases are still proceeding, although they may go through at a restricted rate as many of the banks, building societies and solicitors are working with reduced capacity. Our observations suggest sales are still proceeding but with a short-term pause; For those that have decided on a new home and not wanting to miss out on the house of their dreams, they are willing to sit tight and pick up again as things begin to return to normal.

How long are house purchases being delayed by?

At this stage we are unable to estimate timescales, of course, we continue to monitor developments closely and will provide clarification over the coming weeks.

Letting & Renting

Our tenancy agreement ends soon, do I have to renew?

If your intention is to stay where you are then we suggest you do so. If you were not planning on renewing and have informed us to that effect, we will extend your agreement on a rolling monthly basis if you are unable to move out. Please contact us if you wish to discuss further, there is an online contact form on our website together with email and telephone numbers.

I’m struggling to pay my rent, what should I do?

We have sent emails, letters and reached out to all our tenants. Please read our article for further details.

My tenants want to move out, can I still get new tenants?

Again, the simple answer to this question is yes. Providing the property is empty, and with additional safety measures in place. Clients will view the property themselves and be asked to adopt a hands-in-pockets approach, our staff member will remain outside the property adhering to social distancing rules. You should be aware however that there has been a huge restriction on the operations of removal companies. Please feel free to email us for more information.
