Keeping Your Journey On Track
Following the Government’s announcement of a national lockdown beginning on Thursday 5th November, we would like to update you on the implications for the housing market and our commitment to keeping things moving. We understand that there will be some uncertainty and house buyers and sellers will be working out what it means for them, but if you want to move we will be there for you to make it happen.
At this time it would be difficult to predict the effects these measures will have on the willingness of prospective purchasers to view and vendors to allow viewings, however we are thankful that unlike the previous lockdown the government are committed to keeping the housing market fully operational.
Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick confirmed on social media that renters and homeowners in England will be able to move and removal firms, tradespeople, and estate agents can still operate by going inside homes.
Jenrick added that “all parties involved should continue to play their part in reducing the spread of the virus by following the current guidance”.
That includes following social distancing rules, wearing PPE including masks and gloves, having sellers leave the property during a viewing, which can only last for 15 minutes, and to have as few people looking at the property as possible.
At Simpson and Weekley our offices are staying open on an appointment basis, we offer 360 degree virtual tours, Covid secure viewings and FREE in person or virtual market appraisals.
We think it’s important we keep the housing market moving – for sellers, buyers and the economy! And with time running out to take advantage of the stamp duty holiday, if you’re thinking of selling your property or looking to buy don’t hesitate to call us on 01933 418917 or 01933 224953, or book online https://www.simpsonandweekley.co.uk/book-a-valuation
